Ibn Tofail University Maintains National Leadership and Achieves Strong Global Ranking in Sustainability

Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra has retained its position as the top-ranked public university in Morocco for the eighth consecutive year in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026. The university was also placed within the 401–600 global ranking band, reaffirming its growing international reputation in sustainability and academic excellence.

According to a statement issued by the university presidency, the results of the 2026 edition of the ranking were announced on Wednesday during the Global Sustainable Development Congress, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from June 22 to 25. This year’s assessment evaluated more than 1,646 universities from 116 countries worldwide.

The university achieved notable performances across several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of Quality Education, Partnerships for the Goals, Affordable and Clean Energy, Clean Water and Sanitation, and Decent Work and Economic Growth.

This achievement further strengthens Ibn Tofail University’s position as a leading institution committed to sustainability, innovation, and global engagement.
