Fez Hosts the National University Team Sports Finals and Crowns Morocco’s University Champions

The city of Fez hosted the finals of the National University Team Sports Championship from June 14 to 16, 2026. The event was organized under the auspices of the Royal Moroccan Federation of University Sports and brought together the best student-athletes representing universities and higher education institutions from across Morocco.

The championship featured a high level of competition and technical excellence among the qualified teams. The University of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah emerged as the dominant force in several team sports, further strengthening its position as one of the leading institutions in Moroccan university sports.

In men’s handball, the University of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah claimed the national university title after an impressive campaign. The university also secured the women’s handball championship, confirming its supremacy in the discipline.

In volleyball, the university continued its outstanding performance by winning both the men’s and women’s national titles, achieving a remarkable sporting accomplishment.

In basketball, the International University of Rabat delivered outstanding performances throughout the competition, capturing both the men’s and women’s national championships and demonstrating its excellence in the sport.
