Signing of a partnership agreement between MAP and ISIC
The Maghreb Arab Press Agency (MAP) and the Higher Institute of Information and Communication (ISIC) signed, on July 26, 2024 in Rabat, a partnership agreement aimed at creating favorable conditions for the proposal and/or development of areas of cooperation deemed to be of mutual interest by both parties. This agreement was signed by the Director General of MAP, Mr. Fouad Arif, and the Director of ISIC, Mr. Abdellatif Bensfia, on the occasion of the graduation ceremony for the graduates of the 2023-2024 class of the Higher Institute of Information and Communication.
The agreement covers the design of initial and continuing training programs for MAP journalists and the reflection on studies and research topics in the areas of specialization of the two institutions. It also provides for the creation of a special prize in collaboration with MAP for the promotion of the professional excellence of ISIC graduates in the field of agency press, as well as associating the Maghreb Arab Press Agency with national and international academic activities organized by ISIC and granting internship offers to students and researchers of the Institute. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Arif stressed that this agreement confirms the commitment of both parties to strengthen cooperation between media and academic institutions, so as to contribute to the development of the capacities and skills of young people wishing to practice the professions of journalism and communication, emphasizing the importance of this field in consolidating the Kingdom’s march towards progress. The cooperation between MAP and ISIC will open new perspectives for students, while offering them the opportunity to acquire more expertise and knowledge that will be of great benefit to them during their academic studies, added Mr. Arif, affirming that MAP is committed to remaining an open space for all graduates of the Institute in order to allow them to sharpen their skills and facilitate their transition from the academic training phase to that of professional practice. Under the terms of this agreement, both parties undertake, as far as possible and in accordance with the laws in force, to mobilize the human resources and the material, scientific and technical means at their disposal to achieve the objectives and actions defined by mutual agreement.
