New explosions targeting Hezbollah walkie-talkies kill several in Lebanon
In the suburbs of Beirut, several walkie-talkies exploded this Wednesday during the funerals of Hezbollah members. Other detonations were reportedly heard in Saida and Baalbeck. This looks like another sabotage operation, with no confirmation at this time. Regarding the pager affair, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah will speak this Thursday in a speech. For his part, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, recalled that this operation is a violation of international law. He will call for an “independent, serious and transparent investigation.” His goal is to find those behind this sabotage campaign and “make them pay.”
